Pixie Diane's Review of Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa (LaniWai) - Location

Laniwai translates to "freshwater heaven".

Disney's Laniwai Spa is located on Level 1.

From the Main Lobby (Floor 3), take the elevator down and turn left.  As you look down the hall you'll see the entrance to Laniwai,  if you take a right turn you'll be in the fitness center.

If you are considering a treatment or usage of the Kula Wai (5000 square-foot outdoor hydrotherapy garden), request to take or schedule a tour, you'll be glad that you did.

Pixie Diane's Review of Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa (Part 2)

Enjoy the peacefully view:

Enjoy your beach day just steps from the resort.  Snorkel or kayak on this beautiful lagoon.

Here is a glimpse of  the AMA AMA signature restaurant facing the lagoon/ocean serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hungry?  Take a look at the seafood dish available for lunch.  Bring your own bottle of wine ($20 corkage fee applies).

Dessert anyone?   This is Disney's Coconut Panna Cotta with chilled Passion Fruit Broth and Green Team Tuile.  This was light and flavorful.

TIP:  Pass on the Hawaiian Chocolate Cake in AMA AMA and walk around to One Paddle, Two Paddle for their decadent chocolate cake for 1/2 the price.

Pixie Diane's review of Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa

My experience during my visit to Disney's Aulani Resort  & Spa was nothing but amazing!

My every expectation about the property, service and experiences was met and exceeded.

As a guest, you are immersed into the Hawaiian culture throughout your stay.  Whether is is the artifacts throughout the resort, the outdoor activities or Disney's World Famous storying telling -- you'll take home a  deeper meaning of the Hawaiian people along with your family memories.

During your stay, you'll receive a daily IWA, the IWA is a two page planner of all the happenings at the resort.  There are plenty of opportunities for families to share experiences and parents and children to enjoy new experiences by themselves.

One of the highlights of the week was the Aulani Starlet Hui.  It's a gathering with your favorite hawaiian Uncle under the stars for a night filled with hula, music and even a dance party afterwards.  Get there an hour early for best seating.   (seating is on a hawaiian mat on the grass).

Do not depart this resort without participating in a Aunty's Breakfast Celebration at the MakiMaki.  Mickey is there to welcome you as you enter (picture opportunity), and Minnie is stopping by your table to meet you and chat for awhile.

Your children will have fun wondering down the  Menehune Adventure trail looking for the hidden Menehune, they are throughout the resort and a special elevator locations.

Grab a single or double tube and float down the Waikolohe Stream.  Beware of the Menehune, as from time to time they will try and squirt water on you when you least expect it.

Twice daily, there is an opportunity to watch the cast members feed the marine life in the Rainbow Reef.    Consider purchasing a daily or weekly pass.  Great opportunity for children's first snorkel experience in a safe environment.

From morning  until late at night, your children can participate in activities at  Aunty's Beach House and yes, its included!

The Aquatic Play area is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 (subject to change).  This water play area is for the enjoyment of children under 48 inches.  It was fun to wait for the Menehune's canoe to fill up with water then spill out into the water play area.

One of my favorite activities was to slip into the 2-tiered jacuzzi early morning and at sunset.  It was a perfect spot to look out over the lagoon and ocean.
